SEXUAL HEALTH SERVICES

The student health center provides prevention counseling, early detection and treatment of

sexually transmitted infections (STI’s).  This is provided in a confidential, non-judgmental environment.

            Specific services include:

·        Information on specific STI

·        Evaluation of risk factors

·        Screening Tests (e.g. HIV, chlamydial infections, genital herpes, genital warts,

gonorrhea, pubic lice, scabies, syphyllis, trichomonas and others)

·        Treatment and Referral

Since there is no “blanket screening tests” for all STI’s, the health center recommends and encourages

students to drop by if they have any questions or concerns pertaining to sexual health.  NO

APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY.

HIV TESTING through the Student Health Center is not free and the cost is $20.00 payable either through cash, check or charged to your student

account.  The cost of other STI screening tests can sometimes be charged to the student insurance.  Because of the complexity of billing and payment,

make sure that this is addressed during your visit.

Call ext. 6393 and ask to speak to any of the nurse practitioners if you have any questions.
